Dominic Peckham - Tenor

Born in Southampton, twenty-two year-old Dominic is currently in his final year studying Singing at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama under the tuition of Stephen Robertson after leaving a scholarship place at Chetham’s School of Music. Recent solo engagements include: 'L'Herault' in Massenet's 'Cendrillon' (Theatre Royal, Glasgow and Edinburgh Festival Theatre), 'The Armed Man' -Jenkins (The Royal Festival Hall) with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the ‘Light Of The World’ and 'Italian Passion' tours with Cappella Nova, Haydn’s ‘Creation’ (Dunblane Cathedral), Scarlatti’s ‘Stabat Mater’ for Stephen Cleobury and 'The Good Robber’ in Judith Weir’s ‘The Vanishing Bridegroom’ at The New Athenaeum Theatre, Glasgow. Dominic has been a member of The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain since 1994. He was made a section leader during their World Tour in 1999 and now works with ‘Laudibus’. He is currently an Assistant Conductor of The National Youth Training Choir of Great Britain and The National Youth Girls and Boys Choirs, Musical Director of The Edinburgh Singers and has recently become Musical Director of The Merchant Voices - the new flagship choir for Glasgow's renovated music centre The City Halls.
